At Three Lane Ends Academy, personal development is at the heart of our vision to ensure that every child is equipped with the knowledge, skills, values and experiences needed to succeed both in school and in later life. We are committed to developing confident, respectful and aspirational young people who demonstrate our core values of Care, Aspire and Succeed.
Our personal development offer is woven throughout the curriculum and wider school life. Through our PSHE curriculum, Relationships Education, assemblies, British Values education, enrichment opportunities and leadership roles, pupils learn how to stay safe, healthy and emotionally well, while developing resilience, responsibility and positive relationships.
We provide pupils with opportunities to develop an understanding of different cultures, religions, ethnicities and family backgrounds, helping them to become respectful and active citizens who value diversity and inclusion. Our curriculum is designed to broaden horizons, raise aspirations and nurture pupils’ understanding of the world around them.
Beyond the classroom, pupils benefit from a rich range of experiences that support their character development, leadership skills, physical wellbeing and personal interests. Through these opportunities, children are encouraged to discover their talents, contribute positively to their community and develop the confidence to achieve their full potential.
By the time pupils leave Three Lane Ends Academy, we aim for them to be caring, ambitious and resilient individuals who are ready for the next stage of their education and able to make a positive contribution to society.
