Headteacher's Welcome

On behalf of the children, staff and governors, I would like to welcome you to Three Lane Ends Academy. We hope you find our website clear, informative and easy to navigate. It is designed to give you a flavour of the vibrant life of our school, the work of our pupils and the quality education we strive to deliver.

Being the Headteacher of Three Lane Ends Academy gives me great pleasure. Having been a teacher here for 16 years and the Assistant Headteacher for 10 years, I am fully committed to the community of Three Lane Ends Academy and strive to ensure that the school serves our local children and their families well.

While it is my priority that the education your child receives here with us will enable them to achieve their academic potential and progress confidently into the next phase of their education, it is also part of my vision that all our children are filled with positive experiences, that they are aware of the endless possibilities that await them and that they are nurtured in order to develop within them, a confidence to embrace whatever comes their way. Underpinning the above, is my relentless commitment to ensuring that the children of Three Lane Ends Academy possess the values that enable them to live well in society and prepares them to deal effectively with the challenges that the modern world presents.

All of our staff share this vision and recognise children as unique individuals with specific talents and needs. They work tirelessly to provide a varied and engaging curriculum and a positive school experience.

If you would like to know more about our school, you are very welcome to come and visit.

Summer Fair

Following on from the success of the Christmas Fair, we are holding our first Summer Fair on Saturday 17 June 2017. All proceeds will go        towards the fundraising for the Key Stage 2 playground. If you, or anyone you know, would like a stall, please contact the school office.

School Holidays in term time

We are currently receiving a number of holiday requests for children to be absent during term time. We would like to remind you of the school’s attendance policy which is available for parents and carers on the school website. The Governing Body of Three Lane Ends Academy agreed to the issuing of fixed penalty notices for unauthorised absences which may include holidays taken in term time. This was agreed in July 2013 and remains part of the school policy. It had been suspended in light of a case highlighted in the media, however the resolution of that case reverts school decisions back to the current attendance policy in place.

Sainsbury's Vouchers

We are collecting Sainsbury's vouchers again this year so please enlist the help of friends and family to collect for us. The collection box is outside Mrs Dale's classroom. We will be collecting until 30 June 2017.
