School Admissions

Three Lane Ends Academy is a two-form entry school on the outskirts of Castleford and close to the River Calder. We educate children from Nursery up to Year 6.

If you are considering Three Lane Ends Academy as the school for your child, we strongly encourage visits prior to making your decision. Contact the school office to arrange an appointment.

Full guidance regarding the admission criteria for Three Lane Ends Academy can be found in our admission policies below.  Wakefield Local Authority is responsible for coordinating the allocation of full-time school places.  Please note, it is your responsibility to apply for a full-time school place for your child.

Am I eligible?

You can check your eligibility now by submitting an online application with Childcare Choices or through the DFE website. You will receive an eligibility code to take to your childcare provider, which needs to be re-confirmed every three months. Childcare providers will then check the code and agree a start date.
